A-75 Exhaust, Oil Cooler and Long Neck Oil Tank etc.
« on: July 17, 2016, 05:02:30 PM »
Hello,
1)Looking for A-75 exhaust for my LCA, or will something off the shelf work like from a Chief or other Continental?
2) Need Lower Mount Oil cooler and adapter for A-75, Continental #3883 and #3875
3) Long neck oil tank to fit through LCA motor mounts
4) Cooling Baffles for same engine.  Anything off the shelf?
Thanks for any information.
Keith

Hi, I think to remember that the exhaust from an Aeronca Champ fits the Culver. I also have some drawings from the exhaust. If you want I can make a copy for you.

Thanks, Champ/Chief exhaust does not fit.   I have the drawings and might just have them made.  The std. A-65 for Champ fits the engine, but curves in the wrong place.

My last LCA had a modified Ercoupe exhaust.  The tailpipes had been modified to exit the cowl in the correct location and angle.  The best part is that they were stainless.  The downside was having to fabricate heat muffs.  Ercoupe engine baffles work well too.

I would love to have stainless steel exhaust for my Franklin engine also.  I now have a 90 degree bend black pipes that would either go outside the cowling or have pipes added to that.  I'm just not that far yet!
